This retreat is all about dressmaking - with plenty of relaxation & comfort food thrown in! We will make Do-Re-Mi PJ Pants and Driftwood Doleman Sweatshirt from Waves & Wild. Both patterns are available in straight or curve fit & include sizes from XXS to 7XL. In our first session we will learn how to measure and select sizes, then tutors will cut your fabric pieces so you can focus on sewing for the remaining retreat. On day 3 we will have a PJ Party Brunch featuring some amazing food, relaxation & a selection of mini craft projects to choose from This retreat is ideal for beginner sewists who want to try dressmaking. Skills required include being able to thread your machine and sew straight seams. Materials will be selected prior to the retreat, including brushed cotton fabric for the PJ pants and cosy brushed back french terry for the sweatshirt. Threads for each project are also included. Included in the retreat: Three dressmaking workshops, including altering & cutting patterns and sewing garments ‘Pyjama Party’ - a chill out sessions with comfort food, relaxing & a choice of hand sewing crafts All materials& haberdashery required Accommodation at Railway Rooms Meals: Breakfast (Sat & Sun), Lunch (Sat & Sun) and Dinner (Fri)
Cancellation Policy
All initial bookings must be completed on the Learn & Create website. To secure your place you must: - Complete the online booking - Agree to the terms and conditions - Pay the deposit Once we receive your booking we will ask you to complete a detailed booking form where you can highlight any dietary needs, room preferences, workshop options and any other retreat specific questions. Please complete this & return it promptly so we can confirm your preferences. Payment When booking online 50% of the total retreat fee will be paid (£100 of which is a non refundable deposit) Two subsequent payments of 25% of the total retreat fee will be taken by bank transfer at dates set in the terms & conditions Cancellation by Learn & Create In the unlikely event a retreat is cancelled by us a full refund will be given. Please see note on special circumstances Cancellation by Guest 12+ weeks before retreat - 100% of the original cost of the retreat, less the £100 non-refundable deposit, will be refunded 6-12 weeks before retreat - If the place can be reallocated 60% of the original cost of the retreat will be refunded. If the place cannot be reallocated no refund will be given 0-6 weeks before retreat - If the place can be reallocated 40% of the original cost of the retreat will be refunded.
