Dungarees & Pinafores are a modern wardrobe staple - they suit all sorts of body types, work for all seasons and are super comfy! We will be using the Hey Days Dungaree or Penelope Pinafore patterns from Waves and Wild. Both patterns are fantastic projects for beginners & have a relaxed fit plus multiple pockets. There are also child versions of both patterns if you would prefer to make a smaller size This course is designed for those with basic machine skills - knowing how to set up, thread and sew straight seams. In the booking form please include: - Pattern Version: Dungarees (Adult), Dungarees (Child), Pinafore (Adult) or Pinafore (Child) - Measurements: Full Bust, Waist & Hips During the workshop we will learn: - How to cut material - Sewing Seams - Making Straps - Hemming - Adding Pockets What's Included - Hey Days Dungaree or Penelope Pinafore Pattern (pdf copy & pattern booklet) - A0 pattern pieces - Equipment inc machines, tools etc - Thread (we have a variety of colours but you may wish to purchase a matching thread for your fabric) What you will need - 2.5-3m fabric We recommend chambray or cotton fabric (for lightweight garments) or cotton twill, corduroy or canvas fabric (for thicker garments). Cancellation Policy

Booking - Payments must be received in full or in part when booking online - All courses & workshops include £5 non-refundable admin fee. - Any remaining payment must be paid by bank transfer before the course/workshop start date. Cancellations These must be received at least two weeks before the workshop starts to receive a refund, minus £5 non-refundable admin fee. Payment cannot be refunded if places are cancelled later that this date. MYO Workshops: - £10 deposit is non-refundable, this covers admin fees & workshop planning - Workshops not held at Learn & Create (Newtonmore) must be held at community venues e.g. village or church halls, not your own home - Venues will need to have their own public liability insurance, provide electricity outlets, chairs & tables. - Booking & payment of a community venue is the responsibility of the individual/group (if not using Learn & Create in Newtonmore). - Individual/Group must inform the venue if the chosen workshop will include sewing equipment. All Learn & Create equipment is PAT tested & we can provide details of our insurance if necessary. - Remaining payments are due 3 weeks before your workshop date & are non-refundable from this point Machine Hire & Project Help Sessions - Upon requesting a session we will be in touch and let you know of available dates - please give as many details as you can (e.g. evenings or day time, weekdays or weekends) - By booking a machine hire session you are confirming that you have basic knowledge of using the machine and if there is any feature, equipment or tool you are unfamiliar with you will ask our staffs for help.  - Minor breakages such as broken/bent needles, pins, quilting clips will not incur any compensation. - Breakages to sewing machines, irons and equipment which result in repair or replacement will incur either full or part compensation Young Creatives & After School Clubs ​​If you cancel your place 14 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your place 7 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a 60% refund as by this time we are likely to have purchased materials. We will not be able to refund cancellations received later than 7 days prior to the programme start date.
