In Your Kit 

• External Fabric x 2

• Magnetic Clasp

Instructions 

• Attach the interfacing to the external pieces - you may want to transfer the darts on the pocket

• Fold & sew the darts on the pocket (shown in video)

• Press one set of darts in towards the centre of the piece and one set towards the edge of the piece

• Put the pocket pieces right sides together with a ¼” seam

• Open & press the seam. Attach the female part of the magnetic clasp. You can use one of the larger pieces to work out the position (see video)

• Top stitch along the edge of the pocket

• Lay the pocket on top of external piece, right sides together. Line up the centre line & pin. Ensure the top of the pocket is as straight as you can get it & pin. Now match up all the curved edges, pin and baste.

• Fold the purse to work out the position for the male part of the magnetic clasp & attach (see video)

• Place the internal piece on top, right sides together. Pin & sew with a ¼” seam, leaving a turning gap.

• Turn the purse through the gap & close by hand if desired.

• Top stitch around the edge of the whole purse
