Kids Summer Wardrobe

Service Description

This course is a great opportunity to learn some new sewing skills and start sewing clothes for kids! Using a collection of Waves & Wild patterns we will make a set of Summer clothes for kids (Newborn to Age 12). This course is geared towards self-taught, home sewers - we will focus on how to use the patterns- adapting for different sizes and personalising. Waves & Wild patterns will include: Sandcastle Bucket Hat High Tide Trousers Amber Vest Beach Bummies Shorts We will start with a Fitting & Fabrics session (1.5hrs) where we will go over measurements & discuss sizing and fabrics. Then the course will start a few weeks later, covering all patterns in six 2hr sessions. We will learn how to cut pattern pieces and work through each stage of the pattern, beginning with woven patterns and then moving on to stretch fabrics - giving sewers an opportunity to use the overlockers. You will need to bring Materials for each pattern (details shared once booked) If you have your own you may wish to bring: Cutting mat Rotary Cutter Pattern weights Included in the cost: All equipment and tools Elastic & Haberdashery Pattern printing Please note - each pattern designer has different rules for how their patterns can be used for teaching: - Waves & Wild are happy for us to teach using their patterns but we cannot allow students to take home pattern pieces without proof of purchase. Cancellation Policy

Booking - Payments must be received in full or in part when booking online. Any remaining payment must be paid by bank transfer before the course/workshop start date. Cancellations These must be received at least two weeks before the workshop starts to receive a full refund. Payment cannot be refunded if places are cancelled later that this date. Young Creatives & After School Clubs ​​If you cancel your place 14 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your place 7 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a 60% refund as by this time we are likely to have purchased materials. We will not be able to refund cancellations received later than 7 days prior to the programme start date.
