Knitting is a great skill to learn and from learning the basics you can create a large number of different projects and garments. This course is designed for complete beginners In this course we will cover: - Casting On - Knit Stitch - Purl Stitch - Casting Off - Changing Colours - Increasing We will be using the free Swatchtastic pattern from Tin Can Knits which provides basic patterns for bunting flags. We will start with the basic versions and you can progress to different techniques and styles at your own speed Needles are included in the cost of the course - we will be using DK weight yarn & have a large supply you can use but you are welcome to bring any you have at home
Cancellation Policy
Booking - Payments must be received in full or in part when booking online - All courses & workshops include £5 non-refundable admin fee. - Any remaining payment must be paid by bank transfer before the course/workshop start date. Cancellations These must be received at least two weeks before the workshop starts to receive a refund, minus £5 non-refundable admin fee. Payment cannot be refunded if places are cancelled later that this date. MYO Workshops: - £10 deposit is non-refundable, this covers admin fees & workshop planning - Workshops not held at Learn & Create (Newtonmore) must be held at community venues e.g. village or church halls, not your own home - Venues will need to have their own public liability insurance, provide electricity outlets, chairs & tables. - Booking & payment of a community venue is the responsibility of the individual/group (if not using Learn & Create in Newtonmore). - Individual/Group must inform the venue if the chosen workshop will include sewing equipment. All Learn & Create equipment is PAT tested & we can provide details of our insurance if necessary. - Remaining payments are due 3 weeks before your workshop date & are non-refundable from this point Young Creatives & After School Clubs ​​If you cancel your place 14 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your place 7 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a 60% refund as by this time we are likely to have purchased materials. We will not be able to refund cancellations received later than 7 days prior to the programme start date.
