Bags are one of our favourite projects to sew - they use a range of skills, let you play with different fabrics and you end up with something useful you can keep or give as a great gift! Noodlehead is a US based blog and pattern designer. They have a range of fashionable bag patterns for beginners and advanced sewers The Super Tote is a fantastic bag pattern for those who have mastered the basics and want to try some new features. It is a roomy size, has a recessed zipper and elasticated pockets inside. You will learn to sew a gusset, pleats and piping Sewing Level This workshop is for CONFIDENT BEGINNERS We would recommend that students have some experience with a sewing machine and be confident sewing through multiple layers & simple curves. The zip construction for this pattern is beginner level Whats Included PDF copy of the Super Tote Pattern Interfacing Elastic & Magnetic Snaps Zipper & Pull - We will contact you with choices after booking What You Need to Bring Exterior Fabric (1/2m) - This is used for the front & back of the bag (bird fabric in our example) - Cotton canvas, Linen, Denim, twill (you can use upholstery fabric but thicker fabrics may be hard to sew) Lining Fabric (1/2m) - Quilting Gusset Fabric (1m) - Cotton canvas, Linen, Denim, twill (you can use upholstery fabric but thicker fabrics may be hard to sew) Strap Fabric (1/2m) - We used a combination of lining & gusset fabric Piping (approx 40cm) All fabrics for this sample were all purchased from The Wee Fabric Shop in Inverness.

Cancellation Policy

Booking - Payments must be received in full or in part when booking online. Any remaining payment must be paid by bank transfer before the course/workshop start date. Cancellations These must be received at least two weeks before the workshop starts to receive a full refund. Payment cannot be refunded if places are cancelled later that this date. Young Creatives & After School Clubs ​​If you cancel your place 14 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your place 7 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a 60% refund as by this time we are likely to have purchased materials. We will not be able to refund cancellations received later than 7 days prior to the programme start date.
