Bags are one of our favourite projects to sew - they use a range of skills, let you play with different fabrics and you end up with something useful you can keep or give as a great gift! If you have done a sewing course or workshop with us we have probably introduced you to Apple Green Cottage - they are one of our favourite pattern and tutorial websites. As well as a host of free patterns they have a range of bag patterns idea for beginners The Silla Duo Zipper bag is a fun two in one bag - ideal for an event or night out. The main bag has plenty of space and a flap pocket for the smaller bag. Both have a tab where you can attach a wrist strap. Sewing Level This workshop is for BEGINNERS We would recommend that students have some experience with a sewing machine (know how to set up the machine and sew straight seams) but this project is a great first bag pattern Whats Included PDF copy of the Sila Duo Zipper Bag Pattern Interfacing Hardward & Magnetic Snaps Zipper & Pull - We will contact you with choices after booking What You Need to Bring Exterior Fabric (1/2m) - This is used for the front & back of the bag (bird fabric in our example) - Quilting Cotton, denim, cotton canvas (you can also use faux leather, suede or cork if you are confident sewing with these fabrics) Accent Fabric (1 FQ) - Quilting cotton Lining Fabric (1 FQ) - Quilting cotton Wrist Strap Fabric (14"x3") - You should have enough for this from any of your other fabrics

Cancellation Policy

Booking - Payments must be received in full or in part when booking online. Any remaining payment must be paid by bank transfer before the course/workshop start date. Cancellations These must be received at least two weeks before the workshop starts to receive a full refund. Payment cannot be refunded if places are cancelled later that this date. Young Creatives & After School Clubs ​​If you cancel your place 14 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your place 7 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a 60% refund as by this time we are likely to have purchased materials. We will not be able to refund cancellations received later than 7 days prior to the programme start date.
