Details

Our Young Creatives programme is all about letting young people explore and develop creative skills! Sew Club is the second stage of our sewing programme and is ideal for those who have already completed our Beginners course or have mastered basic machine skills The big difference with Sew Club is that you can book by session - rather than needed to book a full term. We hope this will encourage young people, who often are involved in multiple clubs & activities, to fit sewing classes into their schedule The aim of Sew Club is to advance sewing skills with projects from a variety of topics. This term we will all start on the same project - a Half Square Triangle Cushion Cover - with the aim of honing our seam allowance & straight stitching skills (all materials included) Once this is finished students can move on to other projects, such as: - Bags: everything from zip pouches to project bags to backpacks - Useful Stuff: Projects ideal for around the home, school and more including pencil cases, baskets and pot holders - Things to Wear: The basics of dressmaking including aprons, pyjamas and simple clothes Projects will be marked stage 2 or 3 depending on their difficulty. Students must select the projects they want to complete when booking & can then select the dates they wish to attend. If you wish to attend additional dates these can be booked throughout the term, please do try to give us as much notice as possible. Students must book for a minimum of 2 sessions Winter/Spring Term Dates 10 sessions, Weekly on Tuesdays, 4pm-5.30pm 21st Jan - 1st April (no class 18th Feb) Sessions are £8.50 each or £85 for the full term
