Young Creatives is the name we use for our craft activities & classes for under 18s. Young Creatives is a very important part of Learn & Create - we know that local schools don't always have the resources to teach sewing, knitting, crochet etc so we want to be able to provide those skills to young people as they are important life skills, help develop creativity & are fantastic for positive mental health We will be running one off sessions in Boat of Garten, Kincraig & Aviemore over the next few months so that kids can come along and find out what its like to use a sewing machine & create a small project Sessions: YC Beginners - Drawstring Backpack Kincraig Community Hall, Sat 24th May, 1-4.30pm YC Beginners - Notebook Cover Boat Community Hall, Sat 7th June, 1-4.30pm YC Beginners - PJ Shorts St Johns Church Hall (Rothiemurchus), Sat 31st May or Sun 1st June 1-4.30pm Cost: £45pp (10% sibling discount available - Please Contact Us) The cost includes all fabric, teaching, machines & equipment. Each session will include: How to use patterns & cut out fabric How to set up a sewing machine & sew straight seams
Cancellation Policy
Booking - Payments must be received in full or in part when booking online - Any remaining payment must be paid by bank transfer before the course/workshop start date. Cancellations These must be received at least two weeks before the workshop starts to receive a full refund. Payment cannot be refunded if places are cancelled later that this date. YOUNG CREATIVES EASTER HOLIDAY SESSIONS - Payments must be received in full when booking - Any cancellations received before 24th March will receive a full refund - Any cancellations received between 25th & 31st March will receive a 50% refund - Payment cannot be refunded for any cancellations received after 31st March MYO Workshops: - £10 deposit is non-refundable, this covers admin fees & workshop planning - Workshops not held at Learn & Create (Newtonmore) must be held at community venues e.g. village or church halls, not your own home - Venues will need to have their own public liability insurance, provide electricity outlets, chairs & tables. - Booking & payment of a community venue is the responsibility of the individual/group (if not using Learn & Create in Newtonmore). - Individual/Group must inform the venue if the chosen workshop will include sewing equipment. All Learn & Create equipment is PAT tested & we can provide details of our insurance if necessary. - Remaining payments are due 3 weeks before your workshop date & are non-refundable from this point Charity Events: - We Heart Crafts Day: These sessions are non-refundable. This is to ensure we can provide all materials as well as provide a donation to Mikeysline Young Creatives & After School Clubs If you cancel your place 14 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your place 7 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a 60% refund as by this time we are likely to have purchased materials. We will not be able to refund cancellations received later than 7 days prior to the programme start date.
