Service Description
Our Summer Holiday Programme is all about: - Fun crafting projects - Learning craft skills through doing - Spending time to explore your own creative ideas SUMMER SEWERS This part of the programme is all about completing a large project which we cannot cover in term time classes. We will go all the way through the project from project design, fabric selection, customising our pattern, cutting fabric & construction. Basic sewing skills are needed (i.e. knowing how to use a sewing machine and sew a straight seam) All our Summer Programme leaders have full PVG certification & first aid training. All our craft helpers are either attending with their own children or are under 18 and are given first aid training prior to attending sessions TOP & TROUSERS We will be making a pair of the Waves & Wild Four Seasons Joggers and Emi T-Shirt which are a great comfy combination. They both have lots of different options including different lengths, sleeves and pockets. We will be working with stretch fabric so will be learning to use different machine stitches and possibly trying out the overlocker machines. Please note - photos are taken from the Waves & Wild Website Fabric Selection 25th July 2022 We will discuss the various parts of the pattern and looking at the different fabric options. Course price includes up to £40 for fabric which should be more than enough for all child sizes & the small adult sizes. Sewing Sessions 3rd - 5th August 2022 In our sewing sessions we will be working through each part of the pattern to construct our dungarees. All equipment, thread and haberdashery is included in the cost of the course SPLIT PAYMENTS If you book before 13th June you can pay £25 deposit Remaining fee can either be paid in two £35 payments (by 27th June & 11th July) or full £70 by 4th July
Cancellation Policy
Booking - Payments must be received in full or in part when booking online. Any remaining payment must be paid by bank transfer before the course/workshop start date. Festive Friends Discount - Eligible only on Winter 2023 Festive Workshops - Participants must book together (select 2 participants when booking) Cancellations These must be received at least two weeks before the workshop starts to receive a full refund. Payment cannot be refunded if places are cancelled later that this date. Young Creatives & After School Clubs If you cancel your place 14 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your place 7 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a 60% refund as by this time we are likely to have purchased materials. We will not be able to refund cancellations received later than 7 days prior to the programme start date.
