Service Description
Young Creatives SEW The SEW programme is focused on use of a sewing machine, learning its various functions and perfecting your sewing skills. Projects range from sewn accessories and bags to larger dressmaking projects. Why Do SEW? SEW is for those that want to create items and clothing from scratch. If you want to learn how to use a pattern, construct using different fabrics & handle a sewing machine then SEW is for you! Autumn/Winter Term This term we will be sewing a range of different bags, starting small and working up to the Waves & Wild Cool Time Lunch Bag and Back to Cool Backpack. We will learn how to add a drawstring, basic patchwork, adding a zip and creating pockets. This term has been divided into two halves, working on small and large projects in both. Each part can be completed independently. WANT TO DO BOTH PARTS - Book both & receive a 10% discount (£112.50 total). Contact us via lexy@learn-create.org.uk Split payments are also available (single term in two payments, both terms in four) For this term we are asking students to provide some of the materials - it is difficult to meet everyone's tastes & have lots of leftovers so picking your own will ensure less wastage. What You Need Box Pencil Case - 1 Fat Quarter (100% cotton) Cool Time Lunch Bag - 1/2m Canvas, twill or denim. Cotton can also be used but you will need to add interfacing Back to Cool Backpack - 1m Canvas, twill or denim. Cancellation Policy
Booking - Payments must be received in full or in part when booking online. Any remaining payment must be paid by bank transfer before the course/workshop start date. Festive Friends Discount - Eligible only on Winter 2023 Festive Workshops - Participants must book together (select 2 participants when booking) Cancellations These must be received at least two weeks before the workshop starts to receive a full refund. Payment cannot be refunded if places are cancelled later that this date. Young Creatives & After School Clubs If you cancel your place 14 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your place 7 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a 60% refund as by this time we are likely to have purchased materials. We will not be able to refund cancellations received later than 7 days prior to the programme start date.
