Service Description
SEW Junior (Stage 1) is for kids who want to learn to use a sewing machine but have little or no experience. The aim of Stage 1 is to learn: - How to set up and thread a machine - Learn to trace a pattern & cut fabric - Sew straight seams & understand seam allowance - Learn to iron seams - Learn basic hand sewing techniques This term we will be focusing of fun & festive projects! We start by creating a colourful cushion cover decorated with ric rac - giving the students an opportunity to try out their design skills! Then for our festive project we will create a set of felt fairy lights (using a pattern from ohyaystudio.com) - ideal for decorating their rooms! We Will Provide All materials & haberdashery Equipment & tools *please note their is a slight increase in cost for all Young Creatives courses - this is so that we can hire a Workshop Assistant to ensure we can continue providing the best service to our larger classes!

Cancellation Policy
Booking - Payments must be received in full or in part when booking online. Any remaining payment must be paid by bank transfer before the course/workshop start date. Festive Friends Discount - Eligible only on Winter 2023 Festive Workshops - Participants must book together (select 2 participants when booking) Cancellations These must be received at least two weeks before the workshop starts to receive a full refund. Payment cannot be refunded if places are cancelled later that this date. Young Creatives & After School Clubs ​​If you cancel your place 14 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your place 7 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a 60% refund as by this time we are likely to have purchased materials. We will not be able to refund cancellations received later than 7 days prior to the programme start date.
