Details

Raglan jumpers are most commonly knit from the neck down, gradually increased until stitches can be set aside for sleeves. The remaining body is then knit and sleeves are picked up and worked separately. The benefits of knitting jumpers this way are: - No seams to sew at the end - Easy to adapt, you can try the jumper on as you're knitting & adjust the size - Ideal for colour work or fair isle designs We recommend some experience with knitting in the Round - our Circular Knitting workshop is a great place to start! We will be using a free patterns from Tin Can Knits - the Flax Sweater. We know everyone knits at different speeds so we will be making the 0-6m sizes with short sleeves - giving you the skills to try any size During the workshop we will learn: - Some stretchy cast ons, great for necklines - How to read the pattern - How to work raglan increases - How to divide for sleeves - Picking up & knitting sleeves What's Included - Download links for patterns (please let us know if you would like a print out) - 4mm & 5mm Circular Knitting Needles - 1 ball of Aran Yarn - Scissors, tape measure, stitch markers etc Once booked we will contact you for your colour choices
