Service Description
This workshop will explore knitting colorwork - creating either a hat or cowl which you can design yourself. We will be working with the Anthology pattern recipe from TinCanKnits. A pattern recipe gives you multiple options, allowing you to customise and create your own design. Anthology is free to download here https://tincanknits.com/pattern/anthology Choose from a hat, tubular cowl or standard cowl - in sizes from Baby to Adult. You can make your colourwork as complex or simple as you like - we recommend selecting between 2 & 5 colours - check out the photos from TinCanKnits above for inspiration You will need some experience with knitting - knit, purl, decreasing stitches. Some experience with circular knitting is helpful but not essential The pattern provides options for Aran, DK & Sock/4ply weight yarn - see the screenshot below for yarn amounts & needles required. EXAMPLE: I am knitting a Adult large hat using 5 colours, in Aran weight. I have chosen Drops Alaska, 2 balls of my main colour & one ball of each additional colour PLEASE DO A GAUGE SWATCH BEFORE THE WORKSHOP - this will ensure you have the correct needles for your project. Booking - Payments must be received in full or in part when booking online. Any remaining payment must be paid by bank transfer before the course/workshop start date. Festive Friends Discount - Eligible only on Winter 2023 Festive Workshops - Participants must book together (select 2 participants when booking) Cancellations These must be received at least two weeks before the workshop starts to receive a full refund. Payment cannot be refunded if places are cancelled later that this date. Young Creatives & After School Clubs ​​If you cancel your place 14 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your place 7 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a 60% refund as by this time we are likely to have purchased materials. We will not be able to refund cancellations received later than 7 days prior to the programme start date.
