Service Description

Select 2 participants when booking & use the code festivefriends We will be creating a quilted table runner using two new quilting techniques: Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP)- a quilting technique which uses a pattern printed on to paper, the lines from which are used as guidelines for sewing. This technique is excellent for creating neat small details and complex patterns Applique - this technique involves attaching small shapes of fabric to another, often creating pictures, patterns or words. These can now be decorated with machine or hand stitching. Final Design for the table runner is coming soon but will feature the FPP design in the centre and applique details at either end. Approximate measurements are 40"x16" In the workshop we will: - Create our FPP block - Create our applique blocks - Add fabric to create the full runner panel - Add wadding, backing fabric & binding What You Need: - A selection of fat quarters (at least 4) - Background fabric (0.5m cotton fabric) - Backing fabric (0.5m cotton fabric) - Binding fabric (approx 0.5m cotton fabric) Whats Included: - FPP pattern (Star pattern or Star Tree pattern - please select when booking) - Wadding - All equipment, tools & haberdashery

Booking - Payments must be received in full or in part when booking online. Any remaining payment must be paid by bank transfer before the course/workshop start date. Festive Friends Discount - Eligible only on Winter 2023 Festive Workshops - Participants must book together (select 2 participants when booking) Cancellations These must be received at least two weeks before the workshop starts to receive a full refund. Payment cannot be refunded if places are cancelled later that this date. Young Creatives & After School Clubs ​​If you cancel your place 14 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your place 7 days prior to the programme start date (e.g. by the first date of the block) you will receive a 60% refund as by this time we are likely to have purchased materials. We will not be able to refund cancellations received later than 7 days prior to the programme start date.
